Individual Goods and Services (IDGS)

Camp

Limited to $4000 per budget year

Must be in New York State

Must have a DOH certificate

Classes, Coaching, and Training

Must be open to the public

Membership and Community Participation

Limited to $1500 per budget year

Must be open to the public

Must have a published rate

Individual Membership only, family memberships are not permitted

Must be interactive monthly or annual membership dues, fees, leagues, and clubs.

Cannot be purely recreational

Direct and Non-Direct Clinical Services

Requires a script and care plan updated at least annually

Requires clinical/progress notes

Does not include services that can be covered by insurance

Cannot be experimental

Service rate cap changes  often

Transportation

Waiver Service related mileage. 

  • Mileage for staff
  • individual/mileage to access budget services 

Paid Neighbor (PN)

On-call support, paid as a stipend.

Must be a person cleared as staff.

Staff clocks in as Com Hab when called to work/help.

Must live within 30 minutes.

Cannot be a relative or spouse.

Up to $800 per month can be paid or split between multiple PN.

Staff Support

Limited to $20 per hour.

Manages staff related paperwork including reviewing time sheets, mileage, activity fees, and monthly summaries.

Can help with recruiting, training, scheduling and supervising other staff.

Can also be a self-hired Com Hab or SEMP staff.

Cannot be a relative.

Cannot be an employee of a non-profit company.

Household Goods and Services

Limited to $1500 per budget year.

To contract household services that increase independence.

To purchase small household goods necessary to work on goals.

Transition

Transitional services specific to individuals aging out of school.

Interpreter

Funds to pay for a language or ASL interpreter to assist you in the community.  This is not to communicate with the team.  The Health Home/CCO will provide the interpreters for Life Plan meetings.

Advocate Education

Up to $500 per budget year.

Reimbursement for caregiver to receive training and education to improve their care.

For advocates of adults only.

Other than Personal Services (OTPS)

Staff Activity Fees

Reimburse staff for expenses they incur for doing things with you in the community.

Staff Advertising and Training

Use the budget to ensure you are recruiting the ideal staff and providing them with the right training for your needs.

Software Related to Disability

Purchase software programs related to supporting your independence.

Personal Use Transportation

Used for public transportation options and personal mileage.

Phone, Internet, Utilities

Provide documentation of service and proof of payment to be reimbursed for you portion of some household expenses. 

You must apply for HEAP to access utilities

Generally, for people 18 yrs +

Board (Food) Stipend

Can be used for reimbursing your portion of groceries.

You must apply for SNAP

Generally, for people 18 yrs +

Clothing

Limited to $250 per budget year
